I sought peace.

So I built a house

with forted walls,

blue skies,

clean air,

clear water,

shapely trees,

controlled climate,

guarded privacy,

meticulous views,

and heart beating,

turmoiling

silence.

Then there was

this place-

raw,

exposed,

smoggy,

crowded,

spontaneous,

unpretentious,

loud,

chaotic

with constantly

competing emotions.

And, bursting

at the corners

of each tumult

there was

peace.
