Joe Wells, as the situation needs, finds employment as a businessman, doctor of occupational therapy, academic, and poet. While he published a few poems for his school magazines and a small publication during his teens, much of his adult life was lost in, well, doing the usual adult stuff. Over the years, he authored and published several healthcare related articles and a book chapter with his first love, poetry, forgotten for over two decades. However, the old flame was rekindled. Since the beginning of 2016, his poems have found a home in more than two dozen online and in-print literary journals/ magazines.

He is married to Neeti Wells. They have a daughter named Jonika.
